PCI Aviation to Offer High-Tech, Precision Products & Services in Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, The Poarch Band of Creek Indians announced the opening in Huntsville, AL, of PCI Aviation, a new cutting edge aviation company whose core mission is to keep U.S. military aircraft working efficiently and safely in an ever-changing environment. The Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting for this new office was at 9 AM on April 19, 2017.
Formed by highly respected leaders in the aviation industry, PCI Aviation will initially specialize in the fabrication of cables and wiring harnesses which must be manufactured to very precise specifications and perform essential functions in extremely sophisticated aircraft.
PCI Aviation's CEO, Mal McGhee said, "Our Tribe is extremely proud that our new company will support our war fighter and military aviation. As is the case with PCI's other commercial enterprise Muskogee Technology, PCI Aviation will be operated to the highest of standards. We are ever mindful that each part that we produce is critically important to ensuring that our military's aircraft and the men and women who serve on them are effective and safe."
Mr. McGhee went on to say, "The fabrication of wiring harnesses is just the initial step in achieving our overall goals. Ultimately, our goal is for PCI Aviation to become a world-class aviation company performing maintenance and modifications on all types of military aircraft – always using the highest quality standards. Our military aircraft continue to age and will require technology updates to ensure that they continue to be the most effective aircraft possible to support the men and women in our military. I want PCI Aviation to be at the forefront of performing these technology upgrades." Poarch Tribal Chairwoman Stephanie Bryan said, "Our Tribe's Muskogee Technology enterprise has earned a reputation for excellence in CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Manufacturing. That success, combined with our commitment to helping our country's military, propelled us to explore other ways we could contribute in an industry that is vitally important to our country's security."
McGhee is joined at PCI Aviation by two leaders in the aviation industry; Darrell Harrison and Don Bullock, who have a combined 70-plus years of experience in the defense and aviation marketplace.
PCI Aviation is a SBA certified 8(a) minority-owned company formed by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Tribal Council in June of 2016.
