WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) announced today that The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., will be the exclusive sponsor for AFP's Executive Institute, which will take place at the 2010 AFP Annual Conference November 7-10 in San Antonio, Texas.
This prestigious program provides an environment where the most senior level of financial executives can candidly discuss the challenges they face on the job and explore solutions for addressing those challenges.
"The Executive Institute gives CFOs and treasurers a forum where they speak openly amongst themselves about the issues they are facing day-to-day. This is where some of the best minds in finance come together to innovate and incubate ideas," said Jim Kaitz, AFP's president and chief executive. "We are especially honored to have PNC as the exclusive sponsor for the second year in a row."
The Executive Institute is complimentary to executives attending the 2010 AFP Annual Conference and is limited to chief financial officers, treasurers, vice presidents of finance, assistant treasurers and controllers.
PNC is one of the nation's largest diversified financial services organizations providing retail and business banking; residential mortgage banking; specialized services for corporations and government entities, including corporate banking, real estate finance and asset-based lending; wealth management and asset management.
"PNC is committed to helping financial executives to achieve their business goals, no matter how big or small. The open dialogue of ideas and strategies expressed at the Executive Institute makes us more keenly aware of the challenges facing these business leaders and more thoughtful in providing financial solutions and advice," said James Graham, executive vice president and head of treasury management at PNC.
As an exclusive sponsor, PNC will underwrite two half-days of educational sessions, speakers and panel discussions focused on emerging issues. Among other topics, this year's event covers investments in the new decade, the effect of global financial change on treasury and finance, and advanced treasury structures.
