SILICON SLOPES, Utah, Dec. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Pluralsight, the enterprise technology learning platform, today announced the appointment of two members to its board of directors: Scott Dorsey and Karenann Terrell. The company also announced that current board member Gary Crittenden was named the board's Lead Independent Director.
"I'm honored to have Scott and Karenann join our board and for Gary to become the voice of our independent directors," said Aaron Skonnard, co-founder and CEO of Pluralsight. "Scott, Karenann and Gary are tremendous leaders who understand the importance of democratizing technology learning and will provide fresh perspectives to our board in their new roles."
Scott Dorsey is currently a Managing Partner at High Alpha, an organization that conceives, launches and scales next generation enterprise cloud companies by providing services in product development, sales and marketing, finance, brand, and talent development. As a Managing Partner, Dorsey focuses on building strong leadership cultures that inspire and empower enterprise cloud companies around the world. Prior to his time at High Alpha, Dorsey served as the CEO and co-founder of ExactTarget, a provider of digital marketing automation and analytics software, which he took public in 2012 and later sold to Salesforce.
Karenann Terrell currently serves as the Chief Digital and Technology officer at GSK, a science-led global healthcare company that researches and develops products for pharmaceuticals, vaccines and consumer healthcare. In her role, she is responsible for developing GSK's digital, data, and analytics strategy. She also serves as a liaison, working with a wide range of partners from inside and outside the healthcare sector to bring new technologies to GSK. Before starting at GSK, Terrell led a multi-year effort as Walmart's CIO to transform the company's use of data, analytics, and digital engagement with its customers.
Among his duties as Lead Independent Director, Gary Crittenden will play an active role in setting and approving future board agendas, preside at meetings of independent directors and serve as the liaison between the Chairman and the independent directors. A board member since June 2016, Crittenden will also serve as the Chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee.
