PLCB to Welcome Reality TV Star Tim Smith to Mechanicsburg Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection
MECHANICSBURG, Pa., May 9, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board today announced that reality TV bootlegger Tim Smith will sign pre-purchased bottles of his eponymous Original Climax Moonshine from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, May 11, at Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection, 6560 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg.
Tim is a third-generation moonshiner whose Climax Moonshine debuted in 2013. He proudly makes his family's secret recipe in his hometown of Climax, Va. The label on the bottle features Camo, Tim's loyal Catahoula Leopard dog.
Complimentary tastings of Tim Smith's Original Climax Moonshine and Tim Smith's Climax Moonshine Fire No. 32, available for $31.99 per bottle at select Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores, will be available during the bottle signing for those 21 and older.
The PLCB regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates more than 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees. Taxes and store profits – totaling $15.8 billion since the agency's inception – are returned to Pennsylvania's General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania's schools, health and human services programs, law enforcement, and public safety initiatives, among other important public services.
