Playworks breaks fundraising goal for the 4th Annual Corporate Kickball Fundraiser with support from lead sponsor, hubbub health
More than $40,000 was raised at Playworks Corporate Kickball Fundraiser
PORTLAND, Ore., June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- hubbub health, a technology-driven wellness solution and lead sponsor of the Playworks 4th Annual Corporate Kickball Fundraiser, competed against top Portland employers such as Nike, Keen, Schwabe, Williamson, & Wyatt and Kaiser Permanente to benefit Playworks, a national nonprofit dedicated to physical activity and anti-bullying in schools. As a result of hubbub's contribution to the event, and local employer participation, Playworks raised over $40,000 in record-breaking donations to benefit 13 Portland, low-income schools.
Additionally, hubbub recognized an individual embodying the spirit, passion and energy of the day while promoting collaboration and teamwork. hubbub chose to honor Paul Davis of Waggener Edstrom by donating an additional $500 on his behalf. Playworks also recognized exceptional spirit and gave the "Spirit" award to Kaiser Permanente for outstanding sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
