Playboy Magazine Releases Its 2013 Top 10 Party Schools Rankings

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Playboy magazine today announced the release of its highly-anticipated Top 10 Party Schools list, with West Virginia University coming in at number one. The much-talked-about rankings are featured in Playboy's October 2013 college issue (on newsstands now). This is the eighth time the magazine has published its party school rankings, and the first time West Virginia has taken top honors.
The following schools have earned a spot on Playboy's 2013 Top 10 Party Schools list:
1. West Virginia University
2. University of Wisconsin
3. University of Colorado
4. University of Southern California
5. Florida State University
6. University of Texas
7. Louisiana State University
8. University of Georgia
9. Arizona State University
10. University of Maryland
This year's list was determined by Playboy's editors who used data from resources including the National Center for Education Statistics, the NCAA, and the US Economic Census, as well as feedback from Playboy's more than 12 million social media fans.
Playboy last published its Top Party Schools list in October 2012 with the University of Virginia crowned as number one. The magazine's first list, Top 40 Party Colleges, appeared in its January 1987 issue with California State University-Chico taking the top spot. Party school rankings have also appeared in the magazine's November 2002, May 2006, May 2009, May 2010, and May 2011 issues.
