Platinum Luxury Auctions Upholds Perfect Sales Record in Wellington, Florida
Firm Produces Highest Sale to Date in 2015 within Luxury Subdivision
PALM BEACH, Fla., April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Platinum Luxury Auctions, one of the nation's most successful auction companies for the sale of multimillion-dollar properties, is pleased to announce the pending sale of a golf course estate located within the prestigious Palm Beach Polo Golf and Country Club community in Wellington, Florida. While the final sale price will not be released until the transaction closes, Platinum has confirmed that the price nearly doubled the auction's $1.25 million reserve bid. The sale was held in cooperation with listing agent Martha W. Jolicoeur of Illustrated Properties.
According to the Palm Beach County property records, the auction sale will create the highest price to date in 2015 for a property located within the coveted Kensington subdivision of the Polo Club. The sale will also mark the subdivision's second-highest price within the past 3 years, trailing one sale for $3.05 million in 2014.
During the auction's five-week marketing period, Platinum reported that the property's webpage received more than 11,050 visitors from an international audience led by the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Russia and Canada. The firm also hosted more than 70 on-site property visits. On auction day, six registered bidders were in attendance for the live, real-time sale. Platinum stated that the buyer of the property is the co-founder of a prominent yacht building company.
The April 10th sale added to Platinum's perfect auction sales record in the Wellington market. Within the past two years, the firm has been responsible for the sale of various top-tier equestrian properties such as Two Swans Farm and Wild Orchid Stables, in each case setting community price records. Trayor Lesnock, Platinum's president and founder, noted, "Our track record for the sale of properties located in equestrian, farm, and ranch communities continues to strengthen. We are looking forward to adding to our flawless performance in the Wellington market and beyond in 2015."
The property's owner, Vanessa Symmons, enlisted Platinum to auction her residence so that she could spend more time traveling and visiting her other properties. This is Ms. Symmons' second publicized sale in the area. In 2006, she sold another property in Wellington for nearly $9 million to the family of former New York mayor – and the 13th wealthiest man in the world – Michael Bloomberg.
"We are very pleased to represent Ms. Symmons in the sale. She is a shrewd businesswoman and our team enjoyed presenting her property to the global marketplace," added Aaron Carmody, Platinum's project manager for the sale.
The residence offers more than 6,100 square feet of interior living space, nearly 9,000 square feet of total living area, 5 bedrooms, 5 full and one-half baths. It's designed for entertaining, with one, sprawling level of living space surrounding a central courtyard that features a pool, spa, summer kitchen, and several patios. The estate also offers a guesthouse, formal study with fireplace, and a 3-car garage.
