Platinum Luxury Auctions Prepares for Auction Of Atlantic Crossing Stables
34-acre equestrian compound will mark firm's fourth auction in Vero Beach, Florida
VERO BEACH, Fla., May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A 34-acre equestrian compound in Vero Beach, Florida known as Atlantic Crossing Stables will be auctioned on June 21st by Platinum Luxury Auctions, a national market-leader in the auction sale of unique, multimillion-dollar properties. Previously offered for $2.5 million, the property will now sell to the highest bidder at or above $1 million. The firm will conduct the sale in cooperation with listing agent David Ashcroft of Treasure Coast Sotheby's International Realty.
"This will be our fourth Vero Beach auction within the past 15 months, and we're confident it will be the fourth consecutive sale here as well," said Trayor Lesnock, Platinum's president and founder. "Atlantic Crossing Stables is a uniquely positioned horse facility, located just off of Interstate-95 but also only ten minutes from Vero's pristine beaches."
Previously the clubhouse and operational facility for the Vero Beach Polo Club, the property was sold to a family who converted it into a private equestrian farm and training ground, with notable features including: an 11-acre "stick and ball" / jumping field, 3-acre bridle path, 48 stalls, 23 paddocks, 3 turnout pastures, 2 jumping arenas, and dressage and round pen arenas. The property's main barn and out-structures offer air-conditioned tack rooms, clubhouse, laundry, office, feed, and utility rooms, and living quarters with 3 bedrooms and 4 baths. The clubhouse's outdoor entertainment and barbeque area serves as an ideal venue for large events. "Atlantic Crossing Stables is an excellent acquisition opportunity for the right purchaser," said Mr. Ashcroft. "I think it would be nearly impossible to recreate the property today for less than $2.5-3 million, at a minimum."
Although Vero Beach is not top-of-mind when it comes to Florida's equestrian markets, the property's location is actually quite convenient for equestrian enthusiasts, as it is just a 2.5-hour drive south of Ocala, a 1.5-hour drive north of Wellington, and a 2-hour drive north of the Gulfstream Racing & Casino Park in Hallandale Beach.
Often referred to as "Florida's Hamptons" for its collection of large waterfront mansions and elite club communities, Vero Beach offers a balance of luxury, privacy and serenity for its residents, earning it the title of "The Best Small Town in Florida" by America's Guide to Small Towns. The area is not just about the waterfront and club lifestyle, however, as several well-known individuals - such as John Walsh, host of the "America's Most Wanted" TV show - have taken note of the unique ability to own an equestrian property in west Vero Beach. Mr. Walsh owns a horse farm located within a few hundred yards of Atlantic Crossing Stables, and remains active in Vero's polo community.
Open property previews will be held every Friday through Sunday between 12pm and 5pm until the date of the auction. Interested parties can visit www.AtlanticCrossingLuxuryAuction.com or contact a Platinum representative at 800-262-5132 for additional auction details.
