Plasticos Promex Joins Quantum Plastics
ELGIN, Ill., March 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Plastics, LLC has announced that Plasticos Promex USA, Inc. and its maquiladora, International Industrial Services S.A. De C.V. have merged into Quantum Plastics. Plasticos Promex is based in El Paso, TX and is known for producing plastic parts for a number of high profile brands in the appliance, consumer, electronics, industrial, and lawn and garden industries in a wholly owned maquiladora in Juarez, Mexico.
With the addition of Plasticos Promex, Quantum Plastics expects to accelerate its growth strategy and will be the first international location for Quantum Plastics, LLC. "Plasticos Promex offers Quantum Plastics visibility in Mexico and the southern United States. They also help to position Quantum Plastics as an ideal molder for a number of industries and manufacturing operations in the south due to its ISO 9001:2008 certification and capabilities," said Quantum Plastics President and Chief Operating Officer, Ron Embree. Molding Business Services of Florence, MA advised Plasticos Promex in connection with this transaction. Quantum Plastics acquired Master Molded Products in 2014 and River Bend Industries, Apollo Plastics and Hospitec USA in 2015. With the addition of 3D Plastics and Plasticos Promex USA, Quantum Plastics now offers over 300 molding machines ranging in size from 8 to 3,000 tons and a multitude of capabilities including custom injection molding, blow molding, insert molding, gas assist molding, decorating, assembly and other value added services.
