Plasan to Showcase Armor Technology at Modern Day Marine
Trade Show Marks Six-Year Working of Plasan Survivability Solutions in Service With the USMC
BENNINGTON, Vermont, September 27, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Plasan, a key provider in survivability and combat-proven armor solutions for vehicles, airborne platforms and personal protection, will showcase its latest survivability solutions and armor technologies at the Modern Day Marine Expo September 28-30 in Quantico, Virginia.

Since 2004, Plasan has been working with the Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Corporation to deliver armor and survivability solutions to the U.S. Marine Corps. This includes delivery of crew cab and cargo armor for the USMC MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV), the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) Standard Cargo vehicles and the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR).
Plasan North America, headquartered in Bennington, Vermont, is currently assembling armor kits for MRAP All Terrain Vehicles (M-ATVs) that transport and protect warfighters serving in Afghanistan. Since beginning the armor kit contract in July 2009, Plasan North America has delivered more than 7,700 armor kits for the M-ATV contract.
Plasan continues to explore additional venues for provision of high performance survivability solutions, addressing the evolving requirements for enhanced ballistic protection and defeat of higher level under-belly/wheel zone threats.
