SAN DIEGO, Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Plant Power Fast Food, a social venture company, and California Partnership announced the opening of their new healthy, plant-based fast food restaurant in Ocean Beach, California.

Motivated by various concerns ranging from personal health, the environment, and animal welfare, an expanding number of consumers have chosen to reduce the amount of meat and dairy in their diet. In response to this, many restaurants now feature one or more plant-based items on their menu. Plant Power Fast Food takes this a step further and offers a completely plant-based menu, joining the burgeoning business of plant-based quick service restaurants in the United States, including Veggie Grill and Native Foods.

The restaurant features indoor and outdoor patio dining plus four drive-up "Sonic" style parking spots. Here, customers can use touch-screen kiosks to order and pay for their food which is then delivered directly to their car.

The menu includes typical fast food offerings, but with a healthy twist, including: burgers, sandwiches, wraps, fries, salads, desserts and a kid's menu. Plant Power Fast Food is committed to being affordable within the constraints of using quality, fresh ingredients. Entrees range from $6.25 to $9.95.

Plant Power Fast Food is located at 2204 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, Ocean Beach, CA 92107 at the intersection of Sunset Cliffs Blvd and Voltaire St. A second location is planned to open in Encinitas in late 2016.
