Planned Parenthood of North Texas Names Healthcare Industry Leader Kenneth S. Lambrecht as New President and CEO
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of North Texas, Inc. (PPNT) announced today that it has selected healthcare industry leader Kenneth S. Lambrecht as its next President and CEO. Effective mid-April, he will succeed interim CEO Doug Jackson.
Lambrecht brings 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Since 2006, he has served as President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Texas Capital Region, based in Austin. During his tenure, he oversaw a 70% increase in healthcare services, a 400% increase in educational outreach, as well as a 100% increase in development gifts. Previously, Lambrecht worked with Misys Healthcare Systems (Allscripts), the North Austin Medical Center, and Seton Health Network.
The announcement culminates a six-month national search. Lambrecht received the unanimous endorsement of the PPNT search committee, headed by board chairwoman Lisa Kraus and comprised of 15 members and advisors, including Naomi Aberly, Louise Appleman, Cecilia Boone, Amy Fikes, Amy Jacobs, Reverend Daniel Kanter, Leslie MacLean, Joy Mankoff, Janie McGarr, Nancy Solana, Alinda Wikert and Paul Williams.
"Planned Parenthood of North Texas is an established and growing nonprofit that provides reproductive healthcare services and education to more than 100,000 people in the region each year, and we needed a seasoned leader who brings passion, innovation and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry," said Kraus. "Our entire search committee agreed that Ken combines all of those attributes, which he projects through an enthusiastic, collaborative leadership style that will benefit PPNT as we continue to serve our community and grow."
"Planned Parenthood of North Texas has tremendous opportunities to enhance its ability to provide high quality healthcare, advocacy and education throughout North Texas. I am looking forward to working closely with the Board of Directors and staff to lead such a respected and trusted nonprofit in the years ahead," said Lambrecht.
A longtime Texas resident, Lambrecht holds Bachelor and Master of Science in Health Professions degrees from the Texas State University at San Marcos. Lambrecht's leadership of Planned Parenthood was recognized by the Austin Business Journal in 2008, and he received Austin Under 40 healthcare leadership nominations in 2008 and 2009.
