SAN FRANCISCO, May 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Maker Faire Bay Area 2017, the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth, will take place this weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 19-21, at the San Mateo Event Center in San Mateo, CA. Maker Faire Bay Area will bring together approximately 150,000 makers, Maker Movement supporters, and making enthusiasts from the greater Bay Area as well as across the U.S. and from all corners of the globe.

With over 1,300 Makers on tap with whom to engage, including many performances and attractions to see, and over 180 presentations to take in, Faire organizers have a variety of great resources available for attendees to use to help them make a game plan around how to spend their time at the Faire. Attendees are advised to make a plan, in advance, about how they will get to the Faire so that their time at the Faire is maximized, and traffic and delays in the area are minimized. There is no parking at the San Mateo Event Center during Maker Faire. Public transportation, such as BART, Caltrain, and SamTrans, is the preferred method for getting to the Faire. Carpooling, Lyft, Uber, and rideshare services as well as biking to the Faire are also great options. Details for all options for getting to the Faire are:
