Pixel Power Introduces New Control Solutions for BrandMaster Branding Switcher at NAB 2010

LAS VEGAS, April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Pixel Power, Inc., a leading provider of broadcast graphics systems, today announced an extensive array of new control interfaces and features for BrandMaster™ -- the world's first Branding Switcher™ -- designed to simplify master control operations. The new Video Switch Panel (VSP) for BrandMaster is the world's first master control panel to use full-color TFT switches that can display static images or moving video of graphic and video assets, literally putting a greater amount of information at an operator's fingertips. Infinitely reconfigurable enhanced software control panels include support for touch screens with gestures. Expanded router intelligence within BrandMaster remaps all master control interfaces, signals and displays to a channel with a single button press.

The entire range of BrandMaster control options will be on display during NAB 2010 in Las Vegas, April 12-15, in Stand N2034.

New Hardware Panel

Designed for maximum configurability, VSP for BrandMaster is the world's first master control panel to feature TFT switches that can display full-color static images or moving video of graphic and video assets. These can be configured with images that show the exact effect or associated move. More than visually stunning, VSP achieves new standards for ease of use and workflow simplicity for busy master control environments. TFT switches enable the button to display the precise graphic that will be initiated when pressed.

Combining the latest display technology, well proven tactile-feel switches for source selection, and advanced electro-mechanical design, Pixel Power has put together a panel that will have users rethinking what can be done within a standard 19-inch width and 3RU form factor.  Intelligent design combined with the TFT technology, enables operators to do more actions directly from the panel, rather than having to work through multiple levels of nested menus.

Advanced Soft Panels

A new release of Pixel Power Management Console (PPMC) supports the creation of custom soft panels for BrandMaster.  The new version includes a built-in layout editor that brings drag-and-drop simplicity to the process of laying-out or modifying a panel design.  In addition to supporting any familiar layout required by operators, PPMC goes beyond mere hardware panel mimicry to enable unconstrained panel designs to suit any requirement. PPMC unlocks novel control possibilities such as the use of touch screens, including multi-touch and gestures, to lend further flexibility to meet particular master control requirements.

Enhanced Router Control

An enhanced Pixel Power Router Control Server (PPRCS) now supports router salvos. Usually found only on expensive, stand-alone router solutions, Pixel Power has built this capability directly into BrandMaster to allow the use of low-cost routing switchers, giving broadcasters new cost-effective options to consider when designing their master control systems. The new PPRCS intelligence means that when a single button is pressed to select a new channel for control, PPRCS automatically remaps all sources, destinations, panel labeling, monitor wall feeds, and more, instantly reflecting the support requirements for the current channel.
