Piston Group Promotes Singhi And Strengthens Executive Leadership Team
- Amit Singhi promoted to chief operating officer and continues as Piston Group chief financial officer. Singhi also takes on a minority ownership position in the Piston Group.

REDFORD, Mich., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Amit Singhi has been promoted to the position of chief operating and financial officer for the Piston Group with responsibility for operating and financial matters at all of the Piston Group's four companies.
Reporting to Singhi will be the CEOs and executive finance teams at Piston Automotive, Irvin Automotive and AIREA, as well as at Detroit Thermal Systems representing the Piston Group's controlling interest. Singhi will continue to report to the group's CEO and Chairman Vinnie Johnson.
Before joining the Piston Group as chief financial officer in August 2017, Singhi had held a variety of management positions at Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Most recently he was CFO at FLIR Systems, a publicly held mid-cap technology company based in Portland, Oregon.

Johnson also announced the appointment of Rob Fisher as group vice president of Marketing & Sales, Piston Group, reporting to Singhi.
Fisher has more than 33 years of automotive experience in the areas of general management, sales and marketing, engineering, purchasing and program management. During a 16-year career at TK Holdings, he served as the company's president as well as executive vice president of its OEM groups. Previously Fisher held executive positions at Takata Seat Belt Inc. and Irvin Automotive (now a Piston Group company).

Singhi holds master's degrees in electrical engineering and business administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India.
Fisher holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute) in Flint, Michigan, and a master's degree in business administration from Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Michigan. He served as a member of the General Motors and Fiat/Chrysler Supplier Councils from 2010-2016, in addition to serving on the boards of the Michigan Minority Diversity Supplier Council (MMSDC) and Crime Stoppers of Michigan.
