Most recently PIPER-HEIDSIECK became the Exclusive Champagne of The Oscars® with a partnership with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. At the 87th Academy Awards in February, PIPER-HEIDSIECK was poured for nominees and winners at multiple events. Its prestige cuvee, Rare 2002, was served at the famed Governors Ball, and PIPER-HEIDSIECK Brut NV was served during the pre-show cocktail party.
The Oscars affiliation complements a 22-year partnership between PIPER-HEIDSIECK and the Cannes International Film Festival, each celebrating the achievements of talented filmmakers, producers, directors and artists from all over the globe. From the early 1930s, the house has long supported the grand cinema with boldness and grandeur. In order to support the enrichment and preservation of film heritage, PIPER-HEIDSIECK also works with the French Cinematheque and the American Cinematheque.
Prior to its acquisition by the EPI Group in 2011, PIPER-HEIDSIECK was part of Groupe Remy Cointreau from 1988 to 2011. EPI is thankful to their US subsidiary team for its contribution in building PIPER-HEIDSIECK to its current position as one of the most successful champagne brands in the USA.
