pingmd Announces the Appointment of Lawrence Sosnow as Chairman of the Board of Directors

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- pingmd, Inc., a leading patient communication platform for healthcare, has announced the appointment of Lawrence Sosnow as Chairman of the Board of Directors.  Dr. Gopal K. Chopra, former Chairman of pingmd and co-founder will remain active as a member of the Board.

Mr. Sosnow, also known as Larry, has four decades of success building innovative health care companies. In 2000, he founded SeniorBridge, a care management and home health business that was acquired by Humana (HUM), and is now its Humana at Home. In 1997, Mr. Sosnow co-founded athenahealth, Inc. (ATHN) a physician practice management business. In 1976, Mr. Sosnow founded Patient Care, Inc., a home health business that was acquired by Chemed, Inc (CHE).  

Mr. Sosnow is a veteran of the U.S. Army and obtained a BA in Business Administration from Upsala College.
