Pierce County First in Washington to Use Clear Ballot Election Technology
Washington's Second Largest County to Implement ClearVote Immediately
BOSTON, Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Clear Ballot announced today that Pierce County, the second largest county in the state of Washington, selected Clear Ballot's ClearVote election technology as its new voting system. Clear Ballot and Pierce County will work together to begin ClearVote training and implementation immediately. Pierce County, which includes the City of Tacoma, has nearly 500,000 registered voters.
ClearVote exceeds traditional voting system capabilities, delivering a new standard of transparency for every phase of the election process. ClearVote will provide Pierce County with an easy to navigate and intuitive ballot layout process, a modern accessible ballot-marking device, and a fast and accurate tabulation system. ClearVote provides election officials with a complete digital database of the election that includes visual verification of all votes cast, reduces ballot handling and eliminates potential errors arising from human processing of the ballots.
