LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht LLP ("Pierce Bainbridge") has continued its skyrocketing growth, adding as partners leading trial veteran Thomas C. Frongillo to its Boston office as co-chair of the its white-collar and investigations practice and well-known IP litigator and transactional lawyer Rob Allen to its Los Angeles office.
"We could not be more thrilled that Tom and Rob have chosen Pierce Bainbridge as their new home," said the firm's Managing Partner John Pierce. "Both are luminaries in their respective fields and deepen our white-collar and IP benches. February 2019 has proven to be another huge month for the firm as we continue rocketing toward market domination."
Frongillo joins Pierce Bainbridge from Fish & Richardson. He started his career at Hale & Dorr in Boston and then went on to spend a decade in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts. He has been ranked as a "Leading Lawyer" by both Chambers and Legal 500, and while serving as a federal prosecutor, received many awards and commendations from the United States Department of Justice, the FBI, the DEA, the ATF, the Customs Service, the IRS, and various state and local law enforcement agencies.
"I'm honored to join this highly talented group of accomplished lawyers. I was impressed by the Firm's collaborative culture, use of advanced technology, and strategic approach to handling commercial disputes and white-collar criminal matters. We will replicate this model as we rapidly expand in the Boston market," said Tom.
Allen was most recently at McKool Smith's Los Angeles office, where he focused on litigation involving copyright, especially in entertainment and new media related fields. He has represented television networks, producers, musical artists and songwriters, photographers, authors and a variety of other clients in infringement, breach of contract and royalty disputes, as well as content licensing, original programming and production and software application transactions . Previously, Allen spent 14 years at Universal Music Publishing Group (the then-largest music publisher in the world), where he was senior vice president, head of business and legal affairs as well as head of New Media Business Development, charged with setting the direction and execution of cutting edge digital and Internet exploitation strategies.
"I am excited and privileged to be part of such an energetic team of talented lawyers, unafraid of tackling cutting edge issues in pursuit of effective and efficient justice for its clients," added Mr. Allen.
