Piedmont Propulsion Systems Advances into Military Helicopter MRO
FARNBOROUGH, England and WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., July 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Piedmont Propulsion Systems, LLC (PPS), a world leader in propeller maintenance and overhaul for the regional airline and military markets, announced today a major milestone in its advance into the military helicopter MRO market.
PPS has received approval from the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering command for maintenance and overhaul activities on the UH-60 Black Hawk Main Rotor Hub. The UH-60 twin-engine helicopter is the U.S. Army's primary medium lift utility transport and air assault aircraft.
PPS has a rich history of providing aircraft propeller repair and overhaul services for the United States Government, including existing contracts and subcontracts supporting the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce and Department of Justice.
