Piedmont Natural Gas Announces $50,000 in Assistance for Tornado Relief Efforts in Eastern North Carolina
Company to provide assistance through Red Cross agencies and other organizations involved in relief efforts to impacted families and communities throughout its eastern North Carolina service area
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Piedmont Natural Gas (NYSE: PNY) today announced $50,000 in assistance for tornado relief efforts underway in several communities throughout Piedmont's eastern North Carolina service area that were hit hard by this past weekend's tornado and severe storm activity. Piedmont will provide assistance through local Red Cross agencies and other organizations involved in the relief effort.
Commenting on the impact of the tornados, Piedmont Natural Gas Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Thomas E.
