PicoBrew's New Beer Machine Gets More Partners and Customization Capabilities
The new 'Pico' beer-making appliance has attracted huge backing on Kickstarter, now gets new brewery partners and a make-your-own beer capability
SEATTLE, Oct. 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eight and one half hours after its launch on Kickstarter, PicoBrew's newest product offering, the Pico, surpassed the company's one month campaign target of $200,000, ending the day with over $300K in pre-sales of the device. At over $600,000 in pre-orders now in the first 5 days, the PicoBrew Pico is on track to become one of the top selling Kickstarter kitchen appliances ever. Over 50 craft beer breweries initially joined with PicoBrew to create beer ingredient and recipe "Paks" for the novel device, and the momentum continues to build.

Separately, PicoBrew also announced today a new Freestyle PicoPak capability for the Pico, allowing customers to custom-create their own PicoPaks. An innovative new user interface makes the process intuitive enough that new brewers can create their own PicoPaks and brew their own beers. "We already offer the ability to craft and create custom PicoPaks to brewers using our award-winning Zymatic® as a development platform," said Mitchell. "Now, with Freestyle we allow even non-brewers to try their hand at custom beer."
PicoBrew's Pico is a compact, fully automatic brewing appliance that brews five-liter mini-kegs of fresh craft beer in about 2 hours. One key to Pico's ease-of-use is its use of convenient pre-packaged ingredient modules called PicoPaks. PicoPaks are available from both craft brewers and homebrewers throughout the world on PicoBrew's online Brewmarketplace.
Pico is available for pre-order on the PicoBrew Kickstarter page for a limited time at the purchase price of $569.
