PIA National Names Seth Zaremba 2010 Young Insurance Professional of the Year
WASHINGTON, March 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Seth A. Zaremba has been named the 2010 PIA National Young Insurance Professional of the Year. The award was presented March 20, 2010 by the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) and was sponsored by Rough Notes magazine.
Zaremba is President of Zinc Insurance of Broadview Heights, Ohio.
The PIA National Young Insurance Professional of the Year Award recognizes outstanding achievement by a young insurance professional. The award was presented during a luncheon ceremony on March 20 in Arlington, Virginia. Zaremba was honored for his many activities in support of professional insurance agents and his efforts to attract more young people into the insurance industry.
"Seth Zaremba is truly an outstanding young leader of PIA," said PIA President-elect Brian Marino. "He has a strong desire to improve the insurance industry. He believes his efforts within PIA are vital to adapt to the changing demographics within every agency, including his own."
Zaremba left the comforts of a well-established agency he led and started his own agency in 2008, while at the same time serving on the Ohio Board of Directors. He has also served in responsible positions on various PIA committees and task forces.
"I am always on the lookout for leaders – especially young leaders – and when I met Seth, I immediately knew that PIA had hit the jackpot," said PIA of Ohio Executive Vice President George Haenszel. "First and foremost, he is passionate about his family, faith and values. His passion also extends to his love of the independent agency system, serving his clients, and PIA. His youth brings a vital perspective to our deliberations on many issues, but especially topics related to technology and the needs and buying habits of younger consumers."
The PIA National Young Insurance Professional of the Year Award was sponsored by Rough Notes magazine for the fifth year in a row.
"Encouraging young people to consider a career as a professional insurance agent must be a top priority for all of us," Marino said. "We are particularly pleased to partner with the Rough Notes Company in this important effort."
