PIA National Announces Call for Awards Nominations

WASHINGTON, June 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA National) has announced a call for nominations for four prestigious national awards.

The 2010 PIA National Company Award of Excellence, Company Representative of the Year and Managing General Agency of the Year awards will be presented October 2, 2010 during a luncheon ceremony held in conjunction with the association's fall meetings in Traverse City, Michigan.

In addition, the inaugural 2010 PIA National Excellence in Social Media Award will be presented.

Nominations for the Company Award of Excellence, the Managing General Agency of the Year and the Excellence in Social Media awards are made by individual PIA members, as well as by PIA state and regional affiliate associations. Nominations for Company Representative of the Year are made by PIA state and regional affiliate associations.

The deadline for nominations for all three awards is July 16, 2010.

PIA's three other major national awards -- the Professional Agent of the Year, Customer Service Representative of the Year and Young Insurance Professional of the Year -- will be presented in March 2011 in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with the association's annual Federal Legislative Summit.
