Physiotherapy Associates Subsidiary Rehab Associates Enters into Partnership with Jackson Hospital

EXTON, Pa., Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Physiotherapy Associates, a leading provider of outpatient rehabilitation services, today announced that its subsidiary, Rehab Associates LLC, has entered into a joint venture partnership with Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL, to deliver physical, occupational and rehabilitation services to Jackson Hospital patients. The partnership allows both groups to better meet the needs of patients in Montgomery and beyond.

Under the partnership, patients of Jackson Hospital will enjoy personalized care from an organization specializing in physical therapy. Outpatient rehabilitation services have relocated from the Therapy Annex of Jackson Hospital to the headquarters of Rehab Associates, a 6,000-square-foot facility that boasts a state-of-the-art aquatic center, isokinetic strengthening machines and the latest in rehab equipment. Inpatient care will continue to be delivered at the hospital, and patients should see no change in services.

The joint venture agreement builds on the long-standing relationship between Rehab Associates and Jackson Hospital through the hospital's Sports Medicine Program. In May 2013 Rehab Associates, Jackson Hospital and Alabama Orthopaedic Specialists provided free physicals to 1,890 student athletes. The 23 athletic trainers at Rehab Associates cover approximately 1,850 sporting events and more than 3,000 practices every year at more than 40 schools in the tri-county area.
