DALLAS, Aug. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Phynd Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce that two large healthcare systems will begin using the Phynd Unified Provider Management (UPM) platform to improve and manage the accuracy of their healthcare provider data. The University of North Carolina Health System (UNC Health Care) will use the Phynd UPM platform to manage more than 35,000 providers across their six hospitals, while the Franciscan Alliance (IN) plans to manage more than 50,000 providers across their 14 hospitals.
"We rely on many systems for provider data: EHR, credentialing, data warehouse and others. We realized that each system had a subset of what we needed and with different departmental owners/data governance. Phynd's UPM Platform will enable us to use the best information from each system to create one accurate and integrated profile on all of our providers," says Brent Lamm, VP & Deputy CIO, UNC Health Care System. "Provider data impacts so many aspects of our clinical and financial operations and the Phynd UPM platform will help us close those gaps."
The Phynd Unified Provider Management (UPM) Platform will enable both organizations to improve their financial results, clinical outcomes, staff productivity and regulatory compliance by providing a secure, enterprise IT platform for gathering, managing, and sharing critical data about the licensed providers that care for their patients.
"In this post-EHR era provider data sits at the core of all hospital operations; however, it is an undermanaged and undervalued asset in healthcare. The Phynd UPM enables our clients to immediately improve care coordination, revenue cycle, billing/ordering, referral management, risk management and marketing," comments Tom White, CEO, Phynd Technologies, Inc.. "Overall organizational productivity improves and the organization is better prepared to participate in value-base care initiatives."
Hospital provider communities are constantly changing; 2.4% of all providers change addresses or other contact information every month. Most organizations do not have a means to centrally unify and manage provider data and eliminate provider data silo's. The Phynd UPM provides this centralized management in a highly secure (ISO 27001-ready, private VPN connection), multi-integrating (bi-directional HL7), work-flow driven (roles and permissions based), on-demand cloud-based platform. Clients see an immediate impact in the quality, quantity and reach of provider data across their IT systems and user population.
