Phusion Projects Launches Mobile Website, Taxi Finder
Taxi finder feature helps consumers locate cabs, avoid driving under the influence
CHICAGO, Nov. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Phusion Projects today launched its first-ever mobile website http://mobile.drinkfour.com, complete with a "taxi finder" feature that allows consumers – from the palms of their hands – to quickly and easily access safe, sober rides home. The site also features other responsible drinking resources and information designed to help people enjoy Phusion products responsibly.

"We believe we have an important role to play in helping consumers make responsible decisions," said Chris Hunter, co-founder of Phusion Projects. "This mobile site will allow us to interact with our consumers in a new way, while also providing them with everything they need to enjoy our products – from information about how and where to find them, to how to drink responsibly, to how to get home safely when they need help doing that."
Each month, more than 100,000 unique visitors access the company's product site, www.drinkfour.com. The mobile site was designed to bring that same experience and content to consumers, wherever they may be.
Using the taxi finder is a simple, one-step process: after entering a ZIP code, the site uses Google technology to locate taxi companies in the area and provides their phone numbers and a link to their sites. The taxi finder feature is something the company will actively promote, both on its corporate and consumer sites and with partners such as its distributors, retailers and employees.
"We know that people using a mobile site are likely on-the-go," Phusion co-founder Jaisen Freeman said. "We also know that a lot of people use our site to find out where to buy our products. Combining those resources with information about how to drink responsibly – and get home safely afterward – just made a ton of sense to us."
As one of the few alcoholic beverage companies to host a taxi finder on its smart phone-optimized mobile site, this latest launch is part of a broader campaign to ensure that Phusion's products are consumed safely and responsibly by adults over the age of 21.
The company maintains strict standards for its distributors and retailers, providing free educational materials that help retail store clerks become familiar with Phusion products; ensure proper in-store product placement in the alcohol section, away from soft drinks and other beverages; and reinforce the importance of asking for at least one ID prior to purchasing any alcoholic beverage. Phusion is also the first caffeinated alcoholic beverage manufacturer to include a prominent "WE ID" message on each product can.
"We have a vested interest in ensuring our products are not abused or used unlawfully," Phusion co-founder and managing partner Jeff Wright said. "This – along with everything else we do and have always done – is part of making sure we do everything we can to keep people informed and safe."
