Phusion Projects Employees Volunteer at Los Angeles Regional Food Bank English

CHICAGO, June 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A team of volunteers from Phusion Projects, LLC, manufacturer of Four Loko, spent their day at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank June 28, helping assemble meals for Los Angeles-area underprivileged children. The team filled food packages containing canned fruit, cereal, rice and other non-perishable food items. Additionally, Phusion Projects presented the organization with a $5,000 donation, which will provide nearly 20,000 meals for members of the community.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is a nonprofit charitable organization that is part of a food distribution network including more than 1,000 charitable agency sites. The organization has served the disadvantaged of Los Angeles since 1973. In 2010, more than 24,000 people volunteered to distribute 62 million pounds of food to the hungry in Los Angeles County.

This is Phusion Projects' sixth food bank volunteer day and donation in 2011. The initiative will continue once a month throughout the year in select communities. In addition, the company encourages further community involvement by offering an employee matching program for contributions made to non-profit organizations.
