PhotoPlus X5 Now Available for Arabic-Speaking Users

Middle Eastern and North African businesses will be glad to find that Arabic writing is now supported in WinSoft International's Middle Eastern release of Serif's PhotoPlus X5 software.

In this new Arabic version, the interface is in English or French with Arabic features including OpenType font support for professional typography, support of bi-directional text (right-to-left or left-to-right direction), contextual shaping (when a character changes its shape according to the surrounding characters, such as for Arabic glyphs), combined glyphs (specific sequences of glyphs that can be combined into a single glyph) and much more.

WinSoft International signed a partnership with UK-based software company Serif, creators of the award-winning PagePlus, PhotoPlus, WebPlus, DrawPlus and MoviePlus product range, in July 2010 to adapt Serif products for markets worldwide.

PhotoPlus X5 is the third Serif product that WinSoft International localizes for use in Arabic.
