Phoenix Muslims to Distribute Food, Clothing, Toys to Families in Need
'Day of Dignity' event part of Islamic Relief USA's annual nationwide campaign
WASHINGTON, Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hundreds of Muslims from the Phoenix area will help distribute food, clothing, and toys and provide health screenings to more than 1,000 people in need from the local communities as part of Islamic Relief USA's (IR USA) annual Day of Dignity campaign.
Day of Dignity Phoenix will also include live music, open-mic poetry, t-shirt decorating, social services, voter registration and more.
In its eighth year, Day of Dignity is a nationwide campaign that recruits more than 2,000 volunteers who in turn, serve approximately 20,000 people in need in 22 cities throughout America. The Phoenix event will take place at the Human Services Campus on Saturday, December 4th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Our Day of Dignity event is our way of encouraging American Muslims to partner with local communities in addressing some of our country's most pressing concerns."
