During the initial consultation meetings, the company was able to show the homeowners 3D renderings of proposed designs.  For example, the kitchen cabinets were a rift cut oak wood with an espresso finish and slab style door.  A specialty material, rift cut oak is a step above quarter saw oak.  The grain, or "rift," is horizontal on the cabinets.
