PHOENIX, Jan. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix criminal defense law firm MayesTelles is proud to be offering a $2,500.00 scholarship opportunity for Arizona students who will be attending a college or university and need some extra help financing it. The scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors planning on enrolling in college and is renewable for up to three years thereafter for a total of four years. The firm believes in the importance of education and is passionate about making it accessible to everyone, regardless of finances.
Arizona high school students who plan on enrolling in a college or university are welcome to apply provided that they fit the following criteria:
- Currently a senior at an Arizona high school
- Currently hold a grade point average of 3.4 or higher
- Will be attending an accredited 2 or 4-year school in the 2016-2017 school year
- Can demonstrate financial need
- Participates in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, or volunteering
Students who meet this criteria should apply by March 1, 2016 for the 2016-2017 school year. In order to apply, eligible students must write and submit a personal essay on the topic of how the scholarship would assist them in meeting their educational and ultimately their career goals.
