36-year-old single malt takes top honors at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition
MINNEAPOLIS, May 11, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Phillips Distilling Co. is thrilled to announce that Tomatin's 36-Year-Old Single Malt has been named "Best Scotch" at this year's San Francisco World Spirits Competition, one of the most respected and influential spirits competition in the world. A panel comprised of industry experts recognized the 36-Year-Old whiskey with Double Gold, "Best Distillers' Single Malt Scotch 20 Years and Older," "Best Single Malt Scotch," culminating with the award for "Best Scotch" at this year's competition.

The awards did not stop with the 36-year-old, Tomatin was awarded 14 medals in total at this year's competition, including Gold medals for the 12 year old, 18 year old, and 1988 Vintage. In addition to this year's World Spirit Award wins, Tomatin recently won Distiller of the Year 2016 and Brand Innovator of the Year 2017 at the world-renowned Icons of Whisky Scotland Awards.
