Phillips 66® Fuels Kansas City Bikers For Babies® Riders With $5,000 In Gas Cards
Leading Performance Gasoline Brand Donates $5,000 to Help Raise Money for Largest Charity Ride in the Midwest, Supporting Gas for Life Billboard Winner
HOUSTON, Aug. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Phillips 66 gasoline marketing group, experts in gas since 1927, today announced it will donate $5,000 in gas cards to Ed's Posse, a group of motorcycle riders and enthusiasts founded by Ed Hale of Raymore, Mo., who are the leading fundraisers in the nation for the March of Dimes' Bikers for Babies® events. The gas cards will fuel Ed and his posse's 100-mile ride during the 2012 Kansas City Bikers for Babies charity event on Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.
Phillips 66 made the donation in conjunction with today's unveiling of a Kansas City, Mo., billboard that features local resident Art Kriebel and his family. Kriebel won the billboard as part of Phillips 66's Gas for Life promotion and chose to use it to highlight the success Ed's Posse has achieved in raising money for the March of Dimes and supporting its mission of educating family and friends about the seriousness of premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
"I'm honored to be able to give a shout-out to this remarkable organization and important cause through the billboard," said Kriebel. "Thanks to Phillips 66, more people will become aware of Ed's Posse and hopefully get involved or support his extraordinary charity work."
The billboard is located at the corner of Wabash Ave. and E. 14th Street in Kansas City, Mo. (off the Prospect Ave. off-ramp of the 70 Freeway), and will be up until October 21st.
"At Phillips 66, we're passionate about two things—the performance gasoline we provide and the people in the hometowns where we sell it," said Tami Walker, Manager, U.S. Fuels Brand Management. "It gives us great pleasure to support both Art Kriebel and Ed Hale, a true hometown hero, and offer his posse the best in TOP TIER™ Detergent Gasoline to fuel such an important ride."
