Trident's TV550 SOC and FRC-V Picture Quality Engine Will Drive Philips' 3D Max-Equipped Smart LED TVs and Cinema 21:9 Platinum TVs

(NASDAQ: TRID), a leading provider of set-top box and TV semiconductor solutions, today announced that the Trident TV550 System-on-Chip (SoC) and FRC-V 240Hz Picture Quality Engine have been chosen to power Philips' complete range of Smart LED and 3D TV solutions featuring Philips' 3D Max technology. 3D Max remains the pinnacle of Philips' home 3D technology and is included in all of Philips' top-end performance products powered by Trident DTV chipset solutions, including the 9000 series Smart LED TVs, 8000 series Smart LED TVs, and Cinema 21:9 Platinum series.
