Cynthia Peterson is currently the Executive Vice President of the Broward Medical Association in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she directs and coordinates all the programs and major activities for the 1500 member physician association, including their Foundation and Political Action Committee.
Cynthia Peterson is a dedicated community leader who is involved with numerous charities and is a strong supporter of Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer. In addition to DDF, Cynthia's community and statewide service has included her commitment to Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, United Way Campaign, Leadership Broward Foundation, Broward Healthy Start Coalition, Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center, American Lung Association in of the SE, Special Olympics of Broward County, and many more. Cynthia has served and continues to serve on the Boards of several community organizations such as the Board of MediVan Health and Community Services, Susan B. Anthony Recover Center, American Lung Association, and Special Olympics of Broward County.

Debbie Zelman founded DDF in 2009 after being diagnosed with Stage IV gastric cancer. Debbie's Dream Foundation seeks as its ultimate goal to bring attention and action to this important cause.
