Philadelphia Bar Association to Present Employment Law-Themed Legal Advice Program, March 17
PHILADELPHIA, March 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On March 17, Philadelphia-area residents in need of legal advice on matters involving employment law can speak with a volunteer attorney from the Philadelphia Bar Association by calling LegalLine P.M. at 215-238-6333 from 5 to 8 p.m. Employment law issues include employment discrimination, wage and hour claims, Family and Medical Leave Act disputes, and wrongful terminations. Callers with other legal issues, including those involving family law, landlord/tenant disputes, wills and others, are also welcome to call for advice.
LegalLine P.M., which is coordinated by the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division on the third Wednesday of each month, is a public-service program with the intent of providing quick and accurate legal advice to the Philadelphia community.
Over the past 23 years, the program's volunteer attorneys have helped thousands of area residents with their legal issue either directly or by referring callers to an appropriate source.
As it has for more than 60 years, the Philadelphia Bar Association also provides free legal advice to area residents through its Lawyer Referral and Information Service. Through LRIS, staff attorneys take calls from the general public and provide complimentary answers to general legal questions, and can also refer callers to attorneys in private practice for as long as a 30-minute consultation at a reduced fee of $30.00. To access this service, simply call 215-238-6333 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
