Phil Isom Joins KPMG to Lead U.S. Corporate Finance Group

NEW YORK, March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, announced that Philip Isom has joined the firm as a principal and leader of its U.S. Corporate Finance (CF) group, an independent middle market investment bank.

"As we continue to expand our services in the transactions and restructuring areas, we are excited to have someone with Phil's experience and relationships to lead these efforts," said Dan Tiemann, Americas leader of KPMG LLP's Transactions & Restructuring group.

In his new role as KPMG's CF leader, Isom will provide direction for KPMG's US CF team, and will be responsible for managing overall client delivery as well as business, product and organizational development. He will be based in Chicago.

Isom is a senior finance executive with a strong combination of investment banking, debt advisory, turnaround and operational experience.  Most recently, he launched and served as the U.S. practice leader of another Big Four accounting firm's capital advisory group. Previously, he was also co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Monroe Capital.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from The University of Dayton, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Loyola University.
