PharMEDium Awarded Contract for Premier's Outsourced Compounded Pharmacy Preparations
LAKE FOREST, Ill., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- PharMEDium Services, LLC, the leading national provider of pharmacy outsourced sterile I.V. compounding services, announced a new sole source agreement for admixture and compounding services – exclusive of total parenteral nutrition (TPN) compounding– with Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, the group purchasing unit of Premier, Inc.

Effective January 1, 2010, the agreement applies to the full line of outsourced compounded drug preparations used by Premier's alliance of more than 2,300 U.S. hospitals and 64,000-plus other healthcare sites.
