PH Technical Labs Named As CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree
NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- PHTL today announced that it had been named a CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree for the Smart Reading Glasses "Dynafocals." Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories.
The Dynafocals is a dynamic focus eyeglasses that changes the focus for the user based on what is viewed by him or her. The reading glass user could clearly see distant objects, computer screens or near-print just by looking at the object. Using the distance sensing chip and standard progressive lens, the lens position automatically adjusts to bring the users view into focus.
Presbyopia has remained a challenge for billions with near-sighted vision through ages. The invention of the glass lens was a big boon for older people to reclaim sight of close objects. The bi-focal, or Progressive lens, was the next advancement to improve the life of the people with Presbyopia. Both of these solutions have their limitations though. However, Dynafocals provides a complete solution for all focus vision needs in a sleek, comfortable and affordable pair of glasses. The user can carry out their daily routines without the need for swapping glasses or head contortions to achieve perfect focus.
"We are very excited to have received this prestigious award in the wearable section, and looking forward to showcasing our product at CES 2018 in Las Vegas this January," said Shariq Hamid CEO PHTL.
The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, the owner, and producer of CES 2018, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
PHTL's Dynafocals will be displayed at CES 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sands level 2, booth 44673.
Entries are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, unique/novel features present and how the design and innovation of the product directly compare to other products in the marketplace.
Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting-edge tech products and services coming to market.
