PGP Corporation's Lee Finck Recognized as a '2010 Channel Chief' by Everything Channel's CRN Magazine
Global leader in trusted data protection has expanded its channel strategy and focus under Finck's leadership
MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- PGP Corporation (www.pgp.com), a global leader in trusted data protection, today announced that Lee Finck has been named a 2010 Channel Chief by the Everything Channel's CRN Magazine. Channel Chiefs are leaders in creating effective channel programs for solution providers. Chiefs consistently defend, promote and execute effective channel partner programs and strategies.
In 2008, Lee Finck joined PGP Corporation as its Worldwide Channel Sales Leader, bringing 21 years of progressive leadership experience in technology sales, sales infrastructure and business development to the company and its international channel sales program. PGP Corporation is dedicated to building a world-class channel network and partner program and Finck is the driving force behind this initiative. In two years, Finck has helped drive channel growth from 68 percent of transactions previously going through the channel to 90 percent currently transacting through the channel. In addition, the portion of the PGP® sales pipeline generated from registered deals has doubled since Finck joined the company and partner registrations are now the number one lead source in the company's mid-market business.
"During the past year, Finck has significantly increased our channel network and partner program. He has helped the almost 2,000 PGP® partners easily and effectively deliver world-class data protection solutions and generate revenue while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our program," said Denise Hayman, Vice President Worldwide Sales and Field Marketing of PGP Corporation. "We are looking to him to continue the momentum throughout 2010, expanding the partner program into complementary growth verticals and technologies."
During this past year, Finck helped the PGP® sales field build up its channel program through several innovative initiatives. Finck promoted channel-centric behaviors across all PGP® departments by implementing a 30-60-90 day Ramp Program that clearly defined each division's role in the partner on-boarding process, set partner expectations and requirements for each division, and established individual point persons that were responsible for the division's on-boarding process. The program not only increased the employee participation in the process but also decreased partner ramp time, making the entire process run more smoothly and efficiently.
For the eighth consecutive year the Channel Chiefs were chosen based by Everything Channel editorial on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue their company generates through partners, their willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years they have dedicated to channel activities.
"Being named a Channel Chief is one of the most prestigious honors in the IT industry. This year's Channel Chiefs offers tremendous insight into the who's who of the Channel," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel. "Top channel executives consistently ensure that the Channel's voice is heard when strategic decisions are being made and continually nurture mutually profitable relationships. We applaud the 2010 Channel Chiefs for their successful partner programs and strategies."
