PGP Corporation Delivers Strong Results for First Quarter of 2010
Increased Demand for PGP(R) Solutions and Acquisition of TC TrustCenter among Highlights
MENLO PARK, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- PGP Corporation, a global leader in trusted data protection, today announced that business results for the first fiscal quarter ending March 2010, continue to demonstrate strong customer demand with repeat business for the PGP® portfolio of trusted data protection solutions. Specifically, results for Q1 2010 reflect the single largest Q1 in PGP Corporation's history, with growth over Q1 2009 of over 25 percent. During the quarter, PGP Corporation continued to execute on all fronts of the business via the operation of a brand new division, new product releases, appointing a new CTO and executing on major marketing events that are helping to spread PGP® solutions further into new domestic and global markets.
Entering New Markets
PGP Corporation acquired privately-held TC TrustCenter and its U.S. parent company, ChosenSecurity. TC TrustCenter, based in Germany, and ChosenSecurity, based in Newton, Massachusetts, provide an on-demand platform for managing trusted identities used for encryption, authentication, and secure collaboration. This strategic acquisition will allow PGP® customers to bridge third party security applications with the industry-leading, standards-based and scalable PGP® encryption and key management applications utilizing the PGP® Platform with its centralized policy engine.
Broadening the PGP® Product Portfolio
PGP Corporation continues to deliver new and upgraded solutions, providing customers with more choice and flexibility to protect and safeguard business and personal data from malicious attacks, loss and theft, and meet compliance. Products released in Q1 include:
- PGP® Key Management Server delivers open enterprise key and certificate management to global organizations. Global enterprises will be able to address often disparate key management systems with the new PGP® Key Management Server and its strong management and policy capabilities and interoperability with third party applications, all based on industry standards.
- PGP Universal™ Server has been upgraded to provide support for the widest range of computing platforms as well as performance, policy and operational enhancements. Enhancements address a wide range of infrastructure and usability concerns that global organizations struggle with when securing their users, disperse systems and sensitive customer and corporate data.
- PGP® Desktop 10.0 extends PGP Corporation's leadership position in trusted data protection and enables client convenience and compliance across all of the major desktop operating systems environments – Windows, Mac OS X, Ubuntu Linux and Red Hat Linux. In addition to allowing disk encryption across mixed environments, PGP® Desktop for Mac now also supports Boot Camp, so users can have complete protection for machines running dual Mac OS X and Windows environments.

Adams, a 30 year veteran in the security industry, has assumed the role at PGP Corporation as a result of the company's recent acquisition of ChosenSecurity.
