PG&E Supports Cal Poly Athletics With $20,000 Donation
Utility's Chief Nuclear Officer to Make Halftime Presentation at Saturday's Football Game
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Sept. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is supporting the Cal Poly student-athlete scholarship fund with a $20,000 donation.
Ed Halpin, Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer for PG&E, will present the check to Cal Poly President Jeff Armstrong and Director of Athletics Don Oberhelman at halftime of Saturday's "Battle for the Golden Horseshoe" football game between the Mustangs and rival UC Davis.

Cal Poly football, presented by French Hospital Medical Center, is coming off a 24-22 victory over Football Bowl Subdivision member Wyoming last Saturday in Laramie and will take a 2-0 record into its game against UC Davis (1-2) on Saturday.
Kickoff in Alex G. Spanos Stadium is set for 6:05 p.m.
