PG&E Names Edward T. Bedwell Vice President of Government Relations
SAN FRANCISCO, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG) today announced the board of directors of its utility unit, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, has elected Edward T. Bedwell as Vice President, Government Relations, for the utility. This new position will report to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Greg S. Pruett.
Based in Sacramento, in his new role Bedwell will oversee all government relations efforts for PG&E at the city, county and state levels. He brings to his new position more than two decades of experience helping PG&E advance federal, state and local policies on behalf of the company and its customers.

Bedwell joined Pacific Gas and Electric Company in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in the government relations organization at the local, state and federal levels. He has served as Chief Lobbyist and, most recently, as Sr. Director of Local and State Government Relations.
Bedwell holds a B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Northridge, and has served on numerous community-based organizations.
This appointment is effective July 1, 2010.
