PG&E Elects New Officers in Power Generation and Human Resources
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Gas and Electric Company today announced appointments to two key roles within the utility's leadership team. Kenneth J. Peters was elected Vice President, Engineering Services, Diablo Canyon Power Plant, and Andrew K. Williams was elected Vice President, Human Resources.
"Ken and Andy bring to their new roles proven expertise and experience in their fields -- together with a focus on delivering for our customers in all dimensions of our business," said utility President Chris Johns. "We look forward to their leadership contributions."
Ken Peters, in his new post, will assume responsibility for all engineering and project management at the company's Diablo Canyon Power Plant, a 2,200-megawatt nuclear facility located in San Luis Obispo, California. Peters will report to John T. Conway, Senior Vice President, Energy Supply and Chief Nuclear Officer. Most recently, Peters served as the plant's Senior Director, Engineering Services.
Andrew Williams, in his new role, will have responsibility for delivery of the utility's human resources programs and policies for the company's approximately 20,000 bargaining unit and management employees. Most recently, Williams served as the company's Senior Director, Labor Relations and Human Resources. He will report to John R. Simon, Senior Vice President, Human Resources.
The new appointments will take effect on March 1.
