Peter York Joins BCT Partners as Principal to Lead New Data Analytics Practice

NEWARK, N.J., Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BCT Partners is proud to welcome Peter York as the newest addition to their management team. Peter will join BCT as a Principal and lead of the recently formed Data Analytics Team.  In his role, he will be using machine learning, statistical programming, and predictive/prescriptive analytics to create models to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of social programs for clients in the government, non-profit and corporate sectors. 

Peter began his evaluation career over 20 years ago at Case Western Reserve University's Center on Urban Poverty, where he served as a Project Manager for the first application of a "theory of change" evaluating the Cleveland Community Building Initiative.   Subsequently, he co-designed a number of evaluations specifically focused on improving early childhood outcomes and school readiness that were funded by the Graustein Memorial Fund and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.  In addition, he has developed and led numerous program evaluations funded by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, The Gap, Inc. Foundation, Atlantic Philanthropies, Lucent Technologies, the California Endowment, as well as many others.

Pete is the author of a critically acclaimed book on the topic of evaluation for philanthropists – "Funder's Guide to Evaluation: Leveraging Evaluation to Improve Nonprofit Effectiveness" – and has been regularly featured in nationally recognized academic and business journals.

Peter is also a Leap Ambassador, which is a private community of nonprofit thought leaders who are committed to the adoption of high-performance in the nonprofit sector.
