LAS VEGAS, Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In just a few days, Australian-born landscape photographer, Peter Lik, will release one of the most impressive and personal projects in his 30-plus year career. A book by definition only, Equation of Time is a 106-pound, 528-page monument to the most breathtaking visions around the world. Featuring hundreds of images from Lik's legendary portfolio – 206 of which span up to an incredible 40 inches across – this groundbreaking collection of world-class photography is a virtual gallery in itself. The release, set for Saturday, November 7, will kick off with public unveiling events at all of Lik's 14 galleries across the country.
To commemorate this special collection, Lik is accompanying its immediate release of 950 Limited Editions and 45 Artist Proofs with an expertly framed image of his latest, captivating photograph. Blazing Skies, which masterfully depicts a windblown oak tree under a beautiful, fiery sky, will only be offered exclusively alongside these special limited editions. An Open Edition of Equation of Time is scheduled to debut in early spring of 2016.
Highly anticipated by Lik's massive base of collectors and fans around the world, Equation of Time takes its readers through the Master Photographer's journey – starting with images taken during his humble beginnings as a starving artist, to his later award-winning works as a leader in the world of fine art photography.
Alongside the myriad of incomparable masterworks from Lik's award-winning collection, some revealed publically for the first time, are his personal thoughts and stories from a lifetime capturing the most beautiful places on earth. This powerful, yet sentimental look through the eyes and lens of one of the world's most prominent photographers is an unprecedented triumph that Lik could not be more proud of:
"For over thirty years I have followed my one true passion to capture this incredible world around us," Lik commented. "It is my unbreakable connection to Mother Nature that keeps me going – it drives me to keep chasing after that unattainable 'perfect shot.' Putting this book together was a real adventure in itself. I had to literally search through over a million frames from my career as a photographer, a task that was both emotional and challenging. Each image and each story represent a moment in time that I will never forget. I am thrilled to finally share this journey with my fans and collectors."

About Peter Lik
Peter Lik began capturing the wonders of nature as a young boy in his native Australia and never stopped. In 1984, Lik migrated to the U.S. and discovered his passion for panoramic photography. One of Lik's most notable projects, "Spirit of America," is a 50-state landscape exploration of perilous deserts, ethereal mountain peaks, lush fields and glimmering cityscapes. Peter Lik's love for America and its landscapes led him to become a naturalized citizen in 2013. Over the years, Lik's career has been marked with award wins as a Master Photographer from both the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) and the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). He has also been awarded fellowships from the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP) and The Royal Photographic Society (RPS). In 2011, Peter jumped into mainstream culture by starring in the NBC-produced TV series, "From the Edge with Peter Lik." With 14 galleries around the United States, Peter Lik counts presidents and celebrities among his collectors. Lik's masterworks "Ghost" and "Inner Peace" have been included in an exhibition of Nature's Best Photography at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. In 2015, Peter was honored at PPA's Imaging USA with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He is one of only 13 recipients in history to receive this honor.
