Peter Chernin and Barry McCarthy Join Pandora's Board of Directors
OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Pandora, the popular internet radio service, today announced that Peter Chernin, founder of The Chernin Group and Chernin Entertainment, and Barry McCarthy, former Chief Financial Officer of Netflix®Inc., were elected to Pandora's Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Peter Chernin is the founder of The Chernin Group and Chernin Entertainment. The Chernin Group manages, operates and invests in businesses in the media, entertainment and technology sectors. Chernin Entertainment produces feature films and television programs. Chernin previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of News Corporation, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Fox Group. He holds a B.A. in English literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
Barry McCarthy served as Chief Financial Officer of Netflix for nearly 12 years before stepping down in December of last year. Prior to Netflix, McCarthy held roles at Music Choice, Credit Suisse First Boston and Booz Allen Hamilton. He holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in history from Williams College.
