Peter Arnell, Graydon Carter, Catherine Deneuve, Sir David Tang, John Rosselli and Bunny Williams Honored Last Night With SCAD Style Etoile Awards

NEW YORK, April 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Six of the top names in the worlds of design, art and style were honored at the Savannah College of Art and Design's fifth annual SCAD Style Etoile Awards in New York last night, April 19. The honorees for the 2010 Etoile Awards are international fashion and style icon Catherine Deneuve, renowned brand designer Peter Arnell, award-winning editor of Vanity Fair Graydon Carter, international businessman and art collector Sir David Tang, celebrated antiques dealer John Rosselli and interior designer and best-selling author Bunny Williams. Because of the volcanic eruption in Iceland and the shut down of air traffic out of Europe, Ms. Deneuve and Sir Tang were not able to attend the event.

Among the special guests were Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Academy Award-winning actor and producer Michael Douglas, Barneys Creative Director Simon Doonan, designer Jonathan Adler, and NYC Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
The event took place at the James Cohan Gallery, 533 West 26th St. SCAD President Paula Wallace hosted the gala, which recognized contributions in the fields of style and design.
Etoile, which means "a star in the sky" in French, connotes brilliance, glamour, iconic style and ideation. The SCAD Style Etoile Awards honor innovative, trend-setting leaders in the fields of style and design. Past recipients include Pierre Cardin, Linda Fargo and Pamela Fiori.
The SCAD Style Etoile Awards kick off SCAD Style 2010, a special series of style and design events running from Monday, April 26 through Thursday, May 6 at various facilities at the SCAD Savannah and Atlanta locations. The trendsetting series includes lectures, exhibitions, panel discussions and workshops featuring cutting-edge artists, designers, industry professionals and innovators highlighting several of the university's programs of study, including fashion, fibers, interior design, furniture design, industrial design and architecture.
