Pete Zillig Joins Jeff Brooks at Euro RSCG New York as Co-CEO
Zillig Moves from Euro RSCG Worldwide in London
NEW YORK, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Euro RSCG Worldwide announced today that Pete Zillig, president of Global Brands for Euro RSCG Worldwide, will be moving from London to New York to join Jeff Brooks as co-CEO of Euro RSCG New York, the agency's global headquarters. The move is to fill the spot of departing co-CEO Andrew Benett, who was recently named CEO of Euro's sister agency Arnold Worldwide in Boston.
Zillig, 41, came to Euro RSCG Worldwide in October 2006 as global brand manager on the Reckitt Benckiser account. He was named president of global brands exactly two years later and continued to lead Reckitt. Among Euro's other global brands are IBM, Kraft, Pernod Ricard, Jaguar, sanofi-aventis and Credit Suisse. Previously, Zillig worked for Lowe in London on the Braun and 3Com accounts, and later on Unilever, HSBC and Electrolux before being made global business director across the Interpublic Group on the integrated Nokia business. Before Lowe, he spent five years on the client side, holding various marketing and communications roles at Compaq.
"Pete's knowledge and experience working with some of the world's largest brands will surely benefit the clients of Euro RSCG New York," said David Jones, global CEO of Havas Worldwide and Euro RSCG Worldwide. "Matching Pete up with Jeff Brooks, who has done a fantastic job leading the agency with Andrew, will make for a formidable leadership team in New York."
Brooks, with 20 years in the world of marketing and advertising, has been promoted twice since he joined Euro RSCG three years ago. Under his leadership the profile and profitability of the New York office have grown dramatically through impressive new business wins, organic client growth, digital expansion and innovative acquisitions. "It's an exciting time for the agency as we embark on the new decade," said Brooks. "We have great strategic and creative leadership in New York with Michael Fanuele and Con Williamson, respectively. I'm thrilled that Pete will be joining us to help build on our great momentum."
